PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Francis Bellamy

THE AMERICAN'S CREED

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a Republic; a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect Union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American Patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.
I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against enemies.

William Tyler Page

PREAMBLE - CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessing of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

CLOSING PRAYER

O God, our Father, let Thy great love
Fall as a benediction from above,
Bless Thou our work, and may we freely give
To Thy honor and glory help us live.
Teach us to know the right from wrong
And do the right-God make us strong.
Help us to rise above the petty things,
The hasty word that cuts and stings.
And always work together hand in hand
For what is best in life to firmly stand.
To put aside all bickering and pretense,
And serve Thee in a higher, broader sense.
Teach us to love, for only love of Thee
And for our neighbor can make us clearly see
The good in all-to their faults be blind.
Help us O God, help us to be kind;
And 'neath our flag, the red, the white, the blue,
For justice, peace, and honor, God keep us true.
